Our Process
Upon making an appointment with Knight Construction Design Inc., we ask that you do your homework! By coming armed with a scrap book, a rough sketch of your ideas and an understanding of which appliances you like, we can help create your dream right off the bat.
We give free estimates. Our first meeting is at your home where we can get an idea of the space you are looking at with no obligation to you the homeowner.
First meeting….
- We come to your home and take measurements and photos of the space.
- Answer any questions that you might have.
- Review and/or assist you in establishing a budget.
- Look through and discuss your three ring binder with all your ideas.
- Discuss your plans for utilizing the space.
Second meeting to follow…
- In approximately two weeks after our first meeting we will call and set up our next
meeting in the showroom - Here we present a design, elevations and perspectives, and a functional floor plan
using our computer assisted design. - We will provide you with a price and what is included in the price.
If you have enjoyed working with us so far and wish to go ahead with the design stages, we do have a design fee based on the size of the project. This enables us to revise your drawings to hand drawings and get more detailed as to what changes you might make.
Once you have approved the contract and drawings you will be supplied with the Knight Construction Client handbook. In here you will have all the information on your job down to the cabinet door hardware. Everything is then ordered and a schedule of the job is made. There will be a pre-construction meeting at the start of the project where we walk with our project manager and sales person through the job.
